Characteristics
The WCB gate valves are suitable for high-pressure scenarios and enhance pressure resistance through forging or thick walled casting (wall thickness ≥ 50mm). The flow channel design is mainly based on full diameter to ensure unobstructed fluid flow and avoid medium accumulation.
Advantages
Adopting a full bore flow channel design, the gate is completely detached from the medium flow path when fully open, and the flow channel is straight. The flow resistance coefficient can be as low as 0.05~0.1, far superior to butterfly valves and globe valves of the same diameter. For large-diameter pipelines with a diameter of DN300 or above, it can minimize the energy loss of medium transportation, especially suitable for the transportation of high flow media such as water, oil, natural gas, etc.
The valve body is made of carbon steel (such as WCB, WCC) material, which has high strength, good toughness, and impact resistance. It can withstand temperature ranges of -29℃~540℃ and pressure levels of PN10~PN420, meeting the working requirements of the vast majority of industrial media. Compared to stainless steel and alloy steel materials, carbon steel has lower procurement and processing costs, and has extremely high cost-effectiveness in non corrosive media scenarios.
The valve body of large-sized carbon steel gate valves adopts thick wall casting or forging technology, and the wall thickness of the valve body increases synchronously with the diameter and pressure level, which can effectively withstand the impact of high-pressure media and pipeline stress. The wedge-shaped gate design is matched with a metal hard sealing surface (welded with STL, CoCrW and other hard alloys), which can compensate for the wear of the sealing surface through the slight wedging action of the gate, ensuring the sealing reliability under high pressure conditions. The leakage level can reach ANSI Class IV or above.
