Characteristics
Pneumatic butterfly valves use compressed air as their power source. When compressed air enters the pneumatic actuator, it pushes the piston or gear rack and other components inside the actuator to move, which in turn drives the valve stem and butterfly plate to rotate, achieving the opening or closing of the valve. By installing a valve positioner, the rotation angle of the butterfly plate can also be controlled, thereby accurately adjusting parameters such as flow rate and pressure of the medium in the pipeline.
Advantages
Powered by compressed air, the pneumatic actuator drives the butterfly plate to rotate, and the opening and closing time only takes a few seconds, far faster than some manually or electrically driven valves, suitable for working conditions that require quick opening and closing (such as emergency shutdown, system switching).
It can be paired with accessories such as solenoid valves, valve positioners, limit switches, etc. to achieve remote control, proportional adjustment, and status feedback. It can easily connect to industrial automation systems such as PLC and DCS to meet the needs of intelligent production.
Pneumatic drive system has a simple structure, low failure rate, and a wide range of compressed air sources. Compared with electric drive, it does not need to consider complex protection issues such as explosion prevention and leakage, especially suitable for flammable and explosive scenarios such as chemical and mining.
