Characteristics
This gear box operated butterfly valve employs a wafer connection method, being fastened between two pipeline flanges with double-headed bolts. Its structure is compact, with a small footprint and lightweight design. The worm gear transmission mechanism is mounted at the valve’s top as standard to ensures reliable operation. Additionally, the valve is engineered with a concentric layout, where the valve stem, butterfly plate, and valve body share a common central axis.

Advantages
1. 90 degree opening and closing: The opening and closing mechanism (butterfly plate) of the butterfly valve only needs to rotate 90 degrees to change from fully open to fully closed, with fast and sensitive action.
2. Low torque operation: Due to its simple structure and low opening and closing resistance, the required operating torque is small. Even larger diameter valves can be equipped with manual, pneumatic, electric and other actuators to achieve easy and fast automation control.
3. Flow regulation: By partially opening the butterfly plate, flow regulation can be easily performed, with good linear adjustment characteristics.
4. Adopting a bidirectional sealing design, and the valve seat (sealing ring) is usually replaceable. When the sealing surface is worn or damaged, there is no need to remove the entire valve body from the pipeline. Simply loosen the bolts and remove the valve core for maintenance or replacement, greatly reducing maintenance difficulty and downtime.

Application Scenarios
This valve finds broad application in general industries such as petroleum, gas, chemical, and water treatment, as well as in thermal power plant cooling water systems. Furthermore, it is applicable to pipeline systems in metallurgy, municipal engineering, and related sectors, serving to cut off or regulate the flow of media including air, water, steam, and oils.
